Referring Children and Adolescents

Our intensive, residential rehabilitation service is available to children and adolescents who have accessed local Paediatric services, but who have not managed to progress.

We only offer time-limited, rehabilitation-based self management programmes, in Bath. Patients are always accompanied by a parent. We do not offer interventions, admissions for medication reduction, or inpatient transfers. Our key interventions are psychology, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, in a purpose-built rehab facility.

We welcome referrals where:

Local paediatric team supports the referral

Investigations and active interventions are largely complete

Where the patient, and parent, is interested in a non-medical, rehabilitation approach

Functioning and Mood

Expert IDT colleagues collect a full psychosocial history, educational and developmental details, explore the patient's mood, and review their physical functioning in depth. Basic information is taken about parental health to ensure safe admissions.

Education about Programme
